Tamrac 5531 Adventure Messenger 1 Camera Bag (Red/Black)

Tamrac 5531 Adventure Messenger 1 Camera Bag (Red/Black) Review

This bag is good for photography starters with maybe 2 lenses. An XSi with 18-55mm kit lens fits well into the bag with extra rooms below the lens as well as plenty of room on the side, which can be used for another average telephoto lens and an external flash unit.

The front pocket can have a lot of accessories, including the battery charger, filters, wires and cables, compass etc. Two side pockets, and one has zipper, which is good for additional batteries and memory cards. There is also a pocket on the cover, which can be used for things like lens cloth.

Tamrac 5618 Black Turbo CyberPro Photo/Laptop Briefcase (Black) Review

This bag is worth every penny/yen/rupee/euro/etc. of its listed price. I’m on my third international trip (I’m in India right now in fact) and continue to love this bag. It’s big, and it’s not meant for weekend hiking trips, but when you need a “go” bag to carry all your camera gear, laptop gear and all the associated stuff (card reader, cables, chargers, extra batteries, lenses, filters, cleaning gear, etc.) — this is the bag you want. It’s *just* big enough to hold everything, but not so big that you can’t put it under an airline seat or in an overhead bin. Even fully loaded, on a Boeing 757 or an Airbus A320/340, it will fit standing up in the overheads if the top isn’t too overstuffed, which is nice.

Tamrac 5680 Ultra Thin Digital Camera Bag (Black)

Tamrac 5680 Ultra Thin Digital Camera Bag (Black) Review

The Tamrac 5680 gives you a lot of bang for the buck.

It provides sufficient protection for a camera carried in a purse, bag, pocket, or swinging at the end of a hand strap. Just about the only damage I could see happening to a camera in this case are a cracked LCD due to extreme bending or torsion stress, or damage from precipitation or other liquids.

The one very minor nitpick is that the flap makes it slightly thicker than it would otherwise have to be. On the plus side, the flap makes it easier and quicker to use than a zipper-operated bag.

Tamrac 3340017 Aero 40 Camera Bag (Black) Review

This is a great little bag for shooting expeditions around town. I am able to store my Canon Xsi with 55-250 attached, and carry the kit lens as well (by slightly adjusting the compartment designed for the small flash), along with an extra battery, memory cards etc. Having the belt loops on the back gives a third way to carry the bag. An added bonus with the loops: I discovered that I can hook one leg of my tripod through the belt loops, and now have a small, lightweight shoulder bag that carries everything I need.
